Limes & Lycopene – A Blog About Eating Well

by Janet

Today I want to talk a bit about a great site I came across recently: Kathryn Elliot’s

Limes & Lycopene

I’m a huge fan of the motto “less quantity, more quality” but everyone who tried to escape the junk food rat race knows that it’s not always easy to couple our need for proper nutrition with the modern life cadence.

Here is where Kathryn, a Sidney nutritionist and herbalist, comes in. In her tidy and freshly colored blog she gives her readers lots upon lots of ideas and real life examples on how one can buy, prepare and cook healthy food.

As she herself puts it, it’s not about being a dietary zealot, that is religiously following this or
that nutrition scheme dictations to the letter and making our already complicated life a notch harder.

In my experience trying to stick hard to any purity-driven approach has always revealed short sighted for the mere fact that if you stretch your comfort zone too wide then as soon as your motivation lessens you’re bound to come back to old habits in a snap. This is detrimental not only for the well known rebound effect, that is you actually bounce to even worse habits, but also because you’re mining your self esteem.
